YUEF JEWELRY — THE ART OF PRESERVATION

Eternal
Radiance

Jewelry is more than metal and stone—it is a legacy. Discover our prescribed rituals to maintain the pristine VVS clarity and golden luster of your collection.

Part 01

The Core Rituals

01

Purification

Regular Cleaning

Clean your jewelry regularly with a soft-bristled brush and mild soapy water. Gently scrub to remove daily dirt and ambient oils, then rinse thoroughly and dry with a tailored lint-free cloth to restore that flawless VVS fire.

Sanctuary

Proper Storage

Store each piece individually in its designated soft-lined jewelry box or luxury pouch to prevent abrasions. Consider utilizing anti-tarnish strips for sterling silver artifacts to permanently maintain their mirror-like luster.

Shielding

Avoid Chemicals

Remove jewelry before engaging with household cleaners, swimming in chlorinated waters, or applying beauty elixirs like perfume, hairspray, and luxury lotions. Your gold plating and stones require sanctuary from harsh elements.

Activity Removal

Activity Removal

Take off your jewelry before intensive physical activities—exercise, gardening, or sports—to completely prevent structural damage or accidental loss.

Professional Checkups

Professional Check-ups

Have your investment inspected annually by a professional jeweler to verify loose settings, worn prongs, and to perform a deep ultrasonic cleansing.

Gentle Handling

Gentle Handling

Avoid violently pulling the inlaid parts or the main gemstone during your daily routine. Always handle your pieces by grasping the main metal band.

Part 02

The Alchemy of Materials

Radiant Gold

Gold can tarnish over time when exposed to ambient oils and chemical agents. Clean gracefully with warm soapy water and a soft brush. For deeper purification, utilize a cleaning solution specifically formulated for gold.

Note: Gold plating requires extra care—strictly avoid abrasive cleaners that can prematurely wear away the pristine plating layer.

Inquiries

How often should I clean my jewelry?

+

We recommend cleaning your jewelry every two weeks to maintain their appearance. If you wear pieces daily or in situations where they're exposed to more oils, lotions, or dirt, you may want to clean them weekly.

Can I wear my jewelry while showering?

+

It's best to remove your jewelry before showering. Soap and shampoo can leave a film on your jewelry, making it appear dull over time. Additionally, the heat and steam can affect certain gemstones and settings.

What should I do if my jewelry becomes damaged?

+

If your Yuef Jewelry piece becomes damaged, we recommend consulting with a professional jeweler for repair services. Do not attempt to fix it yourself, as this could cause further damage.

How can I prevent my silver jewelry from tarnishing?

+

To prevent tarnishing, keep silver jewelry dry and store them in airtight containers with anti-tarnish strips when not in use. Clean them regularly with a silver polishing cloth and avoid exposure to chemicals, perfumes, and lotions.

Is it safe to use ultrasonic cleaners on my Yuef Jewelry?

+

Ultrasonic cleaners can be safe for certain pieces, but not all. They're generally fine for diamonds and hard gemstones set in gold or platinum, but can damage softer stones like emeralds, opals, and pearls, as well as delicate settings. When in doubt, consult a professional jeweler before using an ultrasonic cleaner.

Moissanite Authenticity & Jewelry Care Policy

At Yuefjewelry, transparency is our top priority. We believe you should know exactly what makes your jewelry shine and how to keep it looking flawless for years to come.

The Yuefjewelry Moissanite Promise: Does it Pass a Diamond Tester?

Every moissanite stone we use is meticulously lab-grown to exhibit brilliance and fire that rivals, and often surpasses, natural diamonds.

  • The Thermal Test: Moissanite possesses incredibly high thermal conductivity, almost identical to that of a diamond. Therefore, we guarantee that our moissanite stones will test positive (pass) when evaluated with standard thermal diamond tester pens.
  • Advanced Testing Disclaimer: Please note that while our stones pass standard thermal testers, professional jewelers utilizing advanced electrical multi-testers (which test for electrical conductivity) or examining the stone under high magnification for double refraction will accurately identify the stone as genuine moissanite. This is the scientific hallmark of high-quality moissanite and confirms you have received the authentic, superior gemstone you paid for!

Jewelry Care & Limited Warranty (Understanding Normal Wear and Tear)

We stand behind the structural integrity of our pieces with a 1-year limited warranty covering actual manufacturing defects (e.g., a loose prong setting upon arrival).

However, it is crucial to understand the nature of our materials. Our jewelry is crafted from premium 925 Sterling Silver and delicately electroplated with 18K Gold, 14K Gold, Rhodium, or Rose Gold to provide a luxurious finish.

  • Plating Fading is NOT a Defect: Please be fully aware that the fading, wearing away, or tarnishing of gold, rose gold, or rhodium plating over time is a natural chemical and physical occurrence. This is classified as normal wear and tear and is strictly NOT considered a manufacturing defect. We do not offer refunds or free replacements for jewelry whose plating has faded due to use.

How to Protect Your Plating (The Golden Rules):

To drastically extend the life and vibrant color of your plated jewelry, you must treat it with care:

  • Last On, First Off: Always put your jewelry on after applying perfumes, hairspray, lotions, and makeup. The harsh chemicals in cosmetics builds rapidly degrade the plating.
  • Keep it Dry: Never wear your plated jewelry while showering, washing hands, swimming in chlorinated pools, or soaking in hot tubs or salt water.
  • Avoid Sweat and Friction: Remove rings and necklaces before intense workouts, gym sessions, or heavy household cleaning. Friction against hard surfaces will physically scrape the plating off the silver base.
  • Proper Storage: After wearing, gently wipe the piece with a soft, dry cloth to remove body oils. Store it in a dark, dry, airtight pouch or the original Yuefjewelry box to prevent the silver base from oxidizing (tarnishing). Do NOT use harsh chemical jewelry cleaners or ultrasonic machines on plated items.
